2017 Walk

"A superb day"

From feedback :-
all those who joined us, family and friends or colleagues had amost enjoyable day - a fun walk to raise funds for your local Carers Centre.

The Walk started at the Education Centre at Southwark Cathedral with the official opening ceremony. Dr. Mandy Ford Canon Chancellor of Southwark Cathedral addressed the walkers, appreciated their hard work and offered a short prayer to launch the Walk

By being sponsored by their relatives and friends a worthwhile sum of money was raised for Local Carers Centres and organisations. In previous years £65,000 approximately has been raised which has been used for many schemes to support Carers including for a short break for Carers or much needed equipment.

And as before there are three options: a short stroll beside the Thames of about 2.5 miles, a medium route by the river of about 7 miles and a long route of about 9 miles, – walkers can choose how long a walk they do following as much of the official route as they like.

We would appreciate copies of photographs taken and there will be a small prize for the best picture received.  Digital copies to  BajMathur@aol.com please.
